Carolina Care is a major force in emergency medicine in South Carolina. We span the world of emergency medicine from education and teaching to active involvement in the South Carolina College of Emergency Physicians (SCCEP). We maintain one of the strongest emergency medicine positions in South Carolina as a wholly physician owned and oriented democratic group.
We staff Palmetto Health Richland, a Level One Trauma Center and teaching facility, and Palmetto Baptist. At these two facilities, Carolina Care physicians care for more than 110,000 adults and children per year. Our children’s pediatric emergency center, solely dedicated to children 16 and under, is led by double board certified emergency medicine/pediatric emergency medicine specialists.
